From chills to tears - what receiving a Light code really looks like...

Updated: 6 days ago

...and what they are NOT. How my friend sketched her own Light code before I did. And the first tattoo story I promised you. Me crying included and other things that went wrong. Let's dive in!

Let me start with what a Light code is NOT.

It’s not a magic fix. It won’t solve your problems, clear your path or hand you the life you want on a golden plate. I know - not the most exciting opening line for an article explaining spiritual tools. But I think it’s important to say it out loud, because so much of the spiritual world promises exactly that - a healing from outside. Receive this, do that, and everything will change.

And yes - things do change. But not because something from the outside fixed you.

A Light code is a tool. A mirror. A visual representation of your own soul and inner world - channeled through meditation and encoded with your unique energetic imprint. What it does is reflect back what is already inside you. The wisdom, the remembrance, the truth you came here with - and somewhere along the way, forgot.

Connect with your wisdom within. Look inside. As much as you are ready to look. It’s your free will - you choose to open these doors, to remember who you came here to be.

That last part is important. Because this won’t force you to go deeper than you’re ready for. Nobody does. Free will is always part of it. You choose how much you want to remember, how much you want to see. The Light code just holds the door open. Whether you walk through it, and how far - is always up to you.

So how does it actually come through?

When I channel a Light code for someone, I enter a meditation and open a heart to heart connection with that soul. The symbol usually appears in the area of the third eye - sometimes as a clear image, sometimes it gradually forms into a shape. It’s more of a deep inner knowing. A recognition.

And sometimes it shows up in completely unexpected ways.

A few times I’ve experienced it differently. Once, when channeling for a client, I saw her standing in front of me in the meditation. And instead of the symbol appearing to me, she was handing it to me. Palms open, offering it forward. And there I saw the symbol shining between her palms.

I love moments like that. When the soul of the client you’re channeling for just takes over and does the work themselves.

Which actually leads me to the most mind-blowing moment I’ve experienced so far.

The time my friend channeled her own Light code - and what happens when people receive theirs

The most mind-blowing moment I’ve experienced so far happened with a dear friend. Our connection from the beginning had that soul recognition - the kind where you just know.

I went into meditation to channel her symbol. Did everything the same as always - and then I see her sitting in front of me, shaking her head. No. I was a bit surprised. I said - but your session is in two days, when are you showing me? Tomorrow? And she nodded - yes. So I came back the next day, she was ready, and the symbol came through.

When I sent it to her - she was shocked. "No way! It can't be!" - together with some colourful words 🤭 Then she sent me a photo of a rough sketch she had made a couple of months earlier, on the day she booked a session with me. She attended a group channeling meditation where a symbol just came to her - and she wondered if it was her Light code. She made a sketch and thought to herself - we'll see what Līva sends.

The similarities were undeniable.

She had already seen it. And this wasn’t the first time someone had seen their symbol in a meditation or ceremony before receiving it from me. They just didn’t know it yet.

This is what I mean when I say these symbols are not created - they are remembered. And the reactions when people receive them reflect exactly that. Tears that come not from sadness but from something clicking into place. Clients who burst into crying and laughing at the same time. Messages arriving some time later - something shifted. Something that was stuck began to move. Sometimes it’s quiet and subtle, noticed only in hindsight. The Light code works on its own timeline.

As much as you are ready to look within.

Now - the first tattoo story.

I promised. Here it is. Grab a tea.

This happened in Peru. I had channeled a Light code for someone I knew - and he was brave enough, or crazy enough, to trust me as my very first client.

Now. A good idea for the first tattoo on someone would be something small. Simple. Maybe a 30 minute piece, easy lines, something as a warm-up for beginner’s hands and nerves. You know - something nice and manageable.

Mine was a Light code. About 15-18cm. With quite detailed and complex linework. Big. Not small. Not simple. Absolutely not 30 minutes.

I apparently don’t ease into things - I throw myself straight into the deep end. No swim ring 😄

The day itself was already a lot before we even started. My period arrived exactly that day. I was quite emotional, and then the upcoming first tattoo session poured a bit more stress into my already not very stable system. I was literally crying and laughing at the same time a few times throughout the day.

Oh, and there was also an eclipse corridor happening. And some other wild astrological event in the sky. Of course there was. The Universe clearly decided that if I was going to do this for the first time, the conditions should be absolutely cinematic.

We started late in the evening. My client had decided he wanted to receive TWO tattoos at the same time. His chest from me, his arm from another artist.

Two tattoos. Simultaneously. First session. Deep breath.

Some time into the work - the electricity cut out. Complete darkness. In that town in Peru at the time, power cuts were happening often. Sometimes they lasted an hour. Sometimes twelve. Sometimes longer. We had absolutely no way of knowing how long this one would be.

So we waited. Sat in candlelight. Talked. Looked at the stars. Waited some more.

It came back after about an hour and a half. We kept going. We tattooed until 3am.

And then we had to stop. Not because we were done - but because my client had reached his limit. The chest piece wasn’t finished. We agreed to continue the next day.

We met the next day, but the moment I needed to start I understood I was totally out of place. Belly hurting, couldn’t concentrate. At least I wasn’t crying and laughing anymore 🤭

There wasn’t much left, but I couldn’t do it at that point. I was also reconsidering this whole “new tattooing passion” as not such a great idea after all. What was I thinking, deciding to suddenly start tattooing? It’s way better to live without this stress. And will all sessions really be like this?

I didn’t tattoo that day either.

The day after - calmer, more centred, more myself - we met again. Finished the tattoo. It took about 30 minutes. And seeing the finished work, it felt good. I decided I could do it after all and wouldn’t stop.

That was a rough initiation. Everything that could happen, happened. Eclipse, period, power cut, emotional spiral, the session spread over three days. But it was done. And it was beautiful. And my client, somehow, was still there. Still smiling. Still grateful.

And every single session after that one has been better. Because that is how it works.

I guess it’s just about giving yourself another chance and not giving up after the first try. Especially if you’re just starting. Especially if you feel it deep in your bones.

It takes time. It takes patience. It takes not comparing your beginning to someone else’s middle or end. There will always be people who have been doing this for 5, 10, 20 years. You are just starting. Give yourself permission to learn, to be imperfect, to begin badly and get better.

Because after all - it really does just get better 🤍

And honestly, as cheesy as it sounds - it’s really not too late to start anything. Because it’s your unique path, only you can live it fully, experience it and find out if it’s yours or not. If you ever ask me whether you should or shouldn’t do it - the answer will always be the same. Do it.

Please share in the comments - what’s something you were scared to do, or that didn’t work out the first time, but you did it anyway and it turned out even better? I would love to hear it. Really 🫶🏻

Come find me.

Still in Bali for now - but September is coming fast and so is Australia.
